What does Lump O’ Coal taste like?

A smooth medium roast of specialty-grade coffee with a light touch of natural chocolate and hazelnut flavoring.

Is the flavoring natural?

Yes. Lump O’ Coal uses light natural chocolate hazelnut flavoring, not artificial flavoring.

What does 'specialty-grade' mean?

It means higher-quality coffee. Beans are scored on a 100-point scale, and anything 80+ is considered “specialty.” Ours scores 82–86, placing it in a small percentage of coffee known for better flavor, consistency, and overall quality.

What does 'roasted on-demand' mean?

Most commercial coffee is roasted in massive batches, packaged, shipped to warehouses, and then distributed to stores. By the time you buy it, it's often 2–6 months past its roast date. We roast our coffee ‘on-demand’, meaning it reaches you a week or two after roasting for peak freshness and flavor.
